AGM is this Friday 6pm @ the rugby club then the End of Season Awards Dinner and BBQ commence at 7pm.

Where: Romsey Rugby Club Clubhouse
When: Friday 20th May 2011 @ 7pm after the AGM @ 6pm.

There is a deadline of the 30th Apil 2011 (Saturday) to buy your end of season tickets. This is to make sure we cater for everyone’s needs. We have already sold a lot of tickets (fantastic!), but If you have missed the chance to buy a ticket from your captain or myself, do not fear here is what you can do if haven’t:

transfer money directly into RHC bank account (Sort Code:30-97-14 Account Number : 00477449) if you do this please do not forget to send me a text or an email to say you’ve transferred money as soon as you’ve done so, so that we know who has paid ( email: rhcladiessocialsec@gmail.com)
Once I have recieved your payment I will contact you, and all you’ll have to do is pick up your ticket/s on the night

If you have any trouble doing any of the above this please do not hesitate to contact me.

For discussion at the AGM:

What is the objective for the site?

The objective of Romsey Hockey Club website is to act as the central hub for all communication within the club. To provide an open forum for all future transmition of electric information that the whole club can take part in and share. In addition it is to provide a very good first impression, of the club, to non-members who visit.

Key Points:

• All future communication to use the mechanisms the website provides. Example, arranging teams and passing around information should available on the site. In the future emails  sent by club officials should only contain links to the information on the site.
• The site content, news and comments rely on the whole club taking part and contributing.
• Security of personal information especial for U18s is paramount and will not be available via the website.

What the Webpage designer has implemented:

• Provide hosting for the website, move the old site over and setup a test area for the new site development.
• Design and install a new website template based around Wordpress to allow the site to be easily managed and enhanced at low cost.
• Provide support and help.
• Provide a test version of the site for experimentation, learning, development etc. without risk to the live site.

Specific features provided:

• Photo Gallery
• News
• Easy integration with Google Calendar, Maps and Documents.
• Private members area (protected pages)
• A selection of alternative banner images
• Google Analytics
• Facebook application to access site News.
• Twitter feed for results publication.
• Member Registration Form
• Help and education material on the site

There is a proposal for a new Director of Coaching for the club by Stuart Robinson and Jim East.

The details will be discussed in AOB.
